When we were first toying with the idea of making a podcast, we decided right away that we wanted to stay true to our name and have our podcast be high fidelity. However, we found a lack of detailed information about what equipment that others were using to make their podcasts. Because not many podcasters share their setup, it made finding the right equipment — and particularly the right microphones — difficult. There are a myriad of possibilities, and no right or wrong choices. We ultimately decided to take a very computer-centric approach: get everything into the digital domain as quickly as possible, and do all mixing and mastering using a digital audio workstation. For those that are curious, and because we would like to share information about our process, this is the equipment that we use to record each episode.
